Merry (late) Christmas

Here is the story of my wonderful Christmas this year:

It all started with a Nerf gun fight, like always!

I gave Jonna this little necklace with a J on it.

Erik gave her a beanie and beard. Obviously she loved it. :) 

They're twinners!

And one thing I did different this year was think of Christ the WHOLE day. I definitely felt the spirit of Christmas much better this year. Hope your Christmas was merry and bright! 

drowning my sorrows

Erik and Jonna left this morning at 5 am.
I drove up with them to the airport and my mom made me drive home.
I have finished three books in three days. Two in one day actually.
I guess you could say that it gives me a break from reality.
I live adventures that I may never be able to actually experience.
Like have a virus that gives you certain powers (Black Out)
or have cancer and fall in love (The Fault in Our Stars) though, I don't want to have cancer...
or wake up from a coma for 4 years and find out that my mother was murdered (The Other Side of Dark)
They were all really goooooood books and that is why I finished them all in Three Days.

So, I would recommend them all except there are bad words in The Fault in Our Stars and also romantic scenes. But the other two are fine.

Even though there are those things in The Fault in Our Stars, it was my favorite out of all of them.

Laughing all the way

It makes me happy

We put up Christmas today.
I put lights up in my room.
I made gingerbread houses today.
Erik is coming home with his girlfriend for Christmas.
I am one happy girl.

Induldging

When I am all alone on a friday night. I read. I eat food.
Well I make food and then eat it.
I made cupcakes and mmmmhMmmm!!!
They were delish and also looked quite good if I say so myself.
I am reading Enders Game and want to finish it before the movie comes out.
I like it. It is kinda weird and some stuff is hard to understand, but all is good.

So I meant to post this a while ago but I was too lazy to.
Back a while, I went up to my grandma's cabin up at Payson lakes.
Then I also went to Wyoming for a weekend for my cousin's wedding.
It snowed on the way there.
That's all.

Miss Anna

Yesterday Anna turned 15. 

She is seriously one of my favorite people ever.

 And I miss her so much. 

She is off at the high school 

(even though she is younger than me. 

Yeah, I'm never going to live that down.)

 so I never get to see her. 

I'm so happy to know this gurl and if you don't

it's your loss. So happy birthday yesterday Anna!

Since when?

Guys, I turned 15 yesterday. 15!
I got my learners permit today.
Passed on the first try.
I am just a little proud of myself.
We are all growing up way too fast.
Even if it is fun sometimes.
I miss spending all day every day together,
making up games in Janna's backyard.
Bleaching our hair with lemon juice.
Laying on top of the treehouse and look at the stars.
I have had the best memories with the best of friends,
and now I guess our journey is still going, but instead it is
troubles with school, friends, family, and boys.
I am not complaining.
 Not one bit.

A boy got me flowers

Well, that boy was Ray, but I still love them!
I came home from volleyball tryouts
(which were not great. I didn't make the team, and little 6th graders did.)
And it was also the first day of school,
which itself is tiring.
I came home exhausted and my mom said,
"What do you see?"
"Flowers"
'One of them is for you..."
Anyway, it made my whole day!
And I love them.

Sayonara summer

This is the only thing I am excited about for school to start. Well, and Seminary. 

Best big bro

I had a great visit with these two! (And also Jay, Kara, and Tyler)

Derek is the best big brother! 

That's a bad word

If you don't understand the title up there^ then that means you don't hang out with me enough.

And we should probably change that.

Miss Janna let me barrow the most wonderful book.

I have had a Brooklyn withdrawal. She said don't complain. Well, do I listen to her? Sometimes.

I don't usually write a lot of words, I thought I would switch it up a bit.

Too bad i'm not good at it.

I went TREK shopping today. At the mall. That is not a good place for me.

Or my mom. Or me and my mom. 

My niece is real cute. Her name is Andrea Kate Fugal. :)

I just made an inside joke. I know I already told you that. 

Wow. I don't know if this will ever turn into anything worth your while. Naja.

Naja is oh well in German. Kylie taught me that. I like to say it a lot.

I'm going to be in ninth grade.

Guess what?

You are going to be in tenth.

Ok, i'm almost done here. One more thing.

At dinner today Ray asked me where I got my shoes.

I told him: Forever Young, why?

He said: I didn't know what sod-as-hoes meant.

I looked at the shoe box and burst into laughter.

Summer: halfway over

So far summer has been pretty good to me.
And the best is yet to come!

YES! I found this beauty sitting in my storage room.

My mom is a horrible lady to keep this from me.

She probably didn't want me to have it because she didn't want to have to buy me expensive film.
Too bad.

Hello my old heart

Turns out one week in California just isn't enough. But I am looking forward to stuff here now. Cough cough Lagoon? Yeah. Oh and Seven Peaks. OH. And I get to hang out with my best friends now.

What did I do? Let's see...

Pretended like an Asian baby. (That is my cousin Lauren. Aka Aunt Doo-doo, or Lo-lo)

I went kayaking and swimming almost every day.

I went to the Jelly Belly Factory.(Lauren, and cousin Morgan)

I also went to the beach, but I don't have any pictures. So there you go. That's my trip to Cali for ya.

In the sun

I got my "day in the sun" I have been wanting so badly!

We took my niece and nephews to the splash pad, and the weather was beautiful:)

 I didn't notice Clint's bunny ears...oh well.

I love my Sandy, she is adorable.

I even got a little sun burnt, and hopefully it will turn into a tan!

I also played with my niece Avery today. 

(Can you tell I made a new photo journal? Well, I did, so I am taking more pictures lately.)

Again, freakin again!

This time it was KSL news that interviewed my nephew. Here's his story. 

I'm home

Girls camp was amazing as usual! A combination of fun activities, making new friends and many spiritual experiences!
Oh, and I got the best secret sister gift out there!

I love them. I am actually going to read Emily. Even if I do cry.

Team Derek

Abc 4 news interviewed my nephew Derek and his family today. They will be airing it tonight at 10. I will put the video on later:)

All of my nephews shaved their heads to support the team Derek hairstyle. I am so proud of them, and of how brave little Derek has been. Love ya Derek!

Flashback Friday

I was going through old photos today, and I just wanted to share some of my favorite memories.

Janna and I (and others occasionally) have been going to the Temple every single week for about 2 years now. So maybe not every week, but if we had missed one week, we would go twice that week.

Let me tell you, it has blessed my life.

We are truly blessed to live this close to the Temple, and we definitely need to take advantage of that. The General Authorities have made it very clear that we need to get on with family history work and genealogy. I listened. I have taken many of my family names to the Temple, and so has Janna.
I like it when we go on the same day, same time every week and the workers there recognize us and say hi to us:)
Whenever I go to the Temple, I feel like I am clearing my mind. Forgetting about anything that I have been struggling with. I there is something that is really bugging me, asking God about it at the Temple helps, a lot.
So what I'm saying is, make a goal and go to the Temple more than you usually do. What bad can come from that?

I wish I was a lion. I'd be king of the Wild.

Well, April is almost (tomorrow) over with. 

I am proud of myself. 

Turns out that I can actually accomplish something.
